Snapchat Spotlight

Keep a Spotlight before it scrolls on

Save the public short video clean — no app, no login, no watermark.

Spotlight is public — the rest of Snapchat is not

Snapchat is built around content that disappears, and most of it — private snaps, direct messages, friends-only stories — is never reachable by any external tool, because Snapchat serves it only to logged-in recipients. Spotlight is the exception: it is Snapchat’s public short-video feed, submitted to be seen by anyone, and those videos carry a shareable link. That is what this tool saves.

Because a Spotlight submission is public even when the account behind it is otherwise private, saving one does not involve any login or account access. We never ask for your Snapchat credentials.

What you can and cannot save

If you can open the link in a normal browser and the video plays without being asked to log in, it will save here. Private snaps, a friend’s story, and Snap Map content are not public and cannot be retrieved — no tool can, and any site claiming to needs your login, which is a red flag.

Works on Android, iPhone and desktop

Everything runs in the browser — nothing to install. On desktop the file lands in your downloads folder, on Android in Downloads, and on iPhone Safari saves it to Files → Downloads, from where the share sheet moves it into Photos.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which Snapchat videos can I download?
Public Spotlight videos — Snapchat’s open short-video feed. If the link opens and plays in a browser without a login, it saves here.
Can I save someone’s private snap or story?
No. Private snaps and friends-only stories are served only to logged-in recipients, so no external tool can reach them. Any site that claims otherwise is after your login.
Do I need the Snapchat app or an account?
No. It all happens in your browser — paste a link, get a file. We never ask for your Snapchat username or password.
Is there a watermark on the saved video?
No. You get the clean video file as Snapchat serves it for Spotlight, with nothing stamped on top.
Why did my Snapchat link fail?
Usually the link is to private content rather than Spotlight, the video was removed, or the copied link picked up extra text. Use Snapchat’s own Copy Link and try again.
