Instagram now treats nearly all video as Reels internally, but older feed posts and former IGTV uploads still exist and use a different URL shape. All three resolve here — you do not need to know which kind you are looking at.
Longer videos take a moment more to process, simply because the file is bigger. A three-minute upload is roughly six times the size of a thirty-second Reel.
Quality is set by the uploader
Instagram re-encodes on upload, so the file you receive is whatever survived that process — not the creator’s original camera file. A video shot in 4K and uploaded to Instagram is served at 1080p at best. No downloader can recover what Instagram discarded.
Carousel posts with mixed media
A carousel can mix video and stills. Each slide is a separate file, so you get a separate button for each, labelled by type. Save only the slides you need rather than the whole set.

Can I save videos without an account?
Yes. No login, no sign-up, and we never ask for Instagram credentials.
Do saved videos play everywhere?
They are standard MP4 with H.264 video, which plays in every modern player, phone and editor without conversion.
Is there a limit on how many I can save?
There is a fair-use rate limit to keep the service responsive, but no daily cap for normal use.
Can I pull one clip out of a carousel?
Yes. Each slide resolves separately, so you can save a single video without the rest of the post.
What if the link shows an error?
Check the account is public and the post still exists. Copied links sometimes pick up extra characters — re-copy using Copy Link.
